Once you get home from your appointment, wash your hands and carefully remove the wrap around your tattoo. Do not reapply any bandage or wrap for the duration of the healing process. Let it breathe, baby.
Get ‘em wet

With clean hands, run lukewarm or cool water over your tattoo and lather it with a tattoo-safe soap like Dial Antibacterial Gold Liquid Hand Soap. You should wash your tattoo two times a day - nothing more.
Do? Lather it up. Don’t? Exfoliate.
Nice & dry

After washing your tattoo, let it air dry or gently pat dry it with a paper towel. Do not use any towels or coarse fabric materials to dry your new tattoo. When in doubt, leave it out - wear clean, loose clothing while your tattoo is healing.
Moisturizer? I hardly know her.

After your tattoo is dry, apply a thin layer of tattoo-safe ointment such as Aquaphor over your healing tattoo. This should be an incredibly light coating of ointment - you don’t want to saturate the area or lather it on since over-moisturizing can negatively impact the healing process.
